Read our most frequently asked questions about our home buyer termite inspection.
What will I receive at the end of the inspection?
Once we’ve completed your inspection and process the payment, we’ll provide you with an official Wood Destroying Insect Information Report. For those going through the VA loan process, this report can be provided to the lender as proof that the home doesn’t have termites. Otherwise, the form will give you—the future homeowner—information about the current state of termite activity for your records.
I’m a home seller. Can I get a termite inspection?
Yes, home sellers can also schedule a termite inspection with AZ Best Pest. We’ll run through the same process. This may help you fill out termite information for the future buyer honestly, and without guessing. If you do have termites, you can also choose to deal with them before putting your home on the market. However, keep in mind that most buyers will still go forward with their own home buyer’s termite inspection.
You offer free termite inspections normally. Why do I pay for this one?
In most instances where inspections are scheduled, it’s because someone suspects they have termites. However, most of the home buyer’s termite inspections are done regardless of any suspicion of termites, meaning the inspection is unlikely to require any service. The small charge is to cover the time and gas our inspector uses while thoroughly inspecting your home.
Do you work with non-home real estate transactions?
Yes, we do. We often do termite inspections for the prospective buyers of commercial and industrial property. As you can imagine, this work varies, from small restaurants to warehouses. Therefore, for prices and rates, you’ll need to call us and provide us with a square footage estimate and information about the building you’re looking to purchase. We’ll help you out however we can.
